If we do not invest in Nebraska and raise the needed revenue, analysts say the state may have to close another budget gap in the two-year budget cycle that begins in July 2011 – current predictions are projecting a revenue shortfall upwards of another $639 million dollars. Such a deficit could lead to the elimination of entire programs or agencies that we all benefit from currently.
